Makes sense with a player option. That’s their window before the assets dry up and Dame’s too old.

I really wasn’t expecting this. Maybe I’m too low on Dame’s and Lopez’s abilities to evolve, but I have a hard time believing their window will last beyond 2025.
But I guess that doesn’t matter when your salary is this high. Players like this realistically need to move via trade under the new CBA, and Giannis has already used his leverage so there’s not much downside for him.
