  We know his underlying messages were about love. Not enriching the already wealthy, not abandoning the poor etc.

    Jesus condoned slavery. And the Bible was later used as a means to justify the continuance of chattel slavery in the US.

        Is it though?

        Pretending to be loving and good, and instead causing pain and suffering describes jesus pretty well. If he is what Christians claim.
