As someone who’s skin is naturally about as pale as a troglodyte Irishman but lives in SoCal. Tanning can fuck you up if you tan too quickly I still have a large amount of freckles and discoloration from skin damage back when I was like 10, I am 25 it has been years. Though admittedly I do have a very light farmers tan on my forearms and on the upper part of my face.
