If I hear one, just ONE, more client saying “I meant to send you this last week, but I forgot. Can I have the documents by 3pm cos I need them for settlement with the bank.” I will DO SOMETHING I WILL REGRET LATER. Am now officially entering hermit mode until I can face the (allegedly) human race again.
PS I think there’s something in the water in Sydney that causes accountants to blow a gasket if you need more than 15 minutes (total) to: 1) Reinstate a defunct company that ASIC deleted for non-payment of annual fees. (This usually takes 3 months). 2) Change that company’s name 3) Deregister another company 4) Change the trustee company for 3 interrelated trusts with all the benefit going to 3 separate super funds 5) Issue super fund updates (new deeds) for the 3 funds in 4) above. and 6) they want a volume discount.
