I agree with you. For me it also had a lot to do with the subject matter. I just couldn’t be bothered to care about a bunch of fascist jarheads and maybe one or two of them were “sad” about killing children.

I did slog through it and I at least appreciated that in the end it made a point that the warcrimes they were committing were not just swept under the rug but encouraged through the use of promotions and punishments if not in written policy.
