Currently watching James May: Our Man In…Japan, Italy and India. This is not your typical travel show. He doesn’t do tourist spots. He does the unusual and interesting places with lots of facts. It’s on Prime if anyone is interested.

I watched a few episodes and came to the conclusion that as much as I like James May, he just doesn’t have enough charm to carry an entire show by himself.
It’s good how they avoided the main stuff and off the beaten path though.

I think he does alright. He’s definitely a lot more relaxed in the Italy series.

He was trying too hard in the Japan one. It almost seemed like it wasn’t ‘him’.
Maybe i’ll try the rest of the series.
