    I’m a caravanner, if i want to go abroad while dragging my shed then i more or less have to go through the EU.

      No. You just don’t have to be so whiny about it. It will take you a fraction of a moment to do your biometrics compared to the joy you’ll get by having your girlfriend see your family. What are you going to prioritise? It’s really not a big deal. And if you think it is then, seriously, visit other countries. Europe is not the be all and the end all.
