Comment on This ad that claims that windows 11 is 3 times faster than windows 10
p_consti@lemmy.world 1 day agoI actually had to test this with my hardware, Win11 is atrocious. I don’t have exact numbers, but Win11 uses so much more RAM for itself that it’s really noticeable how it just gets slower so much faster when I open stuff.

On the one hand, using more RAM leaves less room for your stuff.
On the other hand, unused RAM doesn’t do anything for you.
So Windows 11 may actually be faster with sufficient RAM, but it’s gonna leave nothing for your applications.
