As far as the back and forth on Twitter indicates, when he said he wanted “Id like to be paid this time”, Pitchford initially pushed back, and then offered “2x union rates” (whether Pitchford actually offered that or said it on twitter afterward to garner sympathy we may never know), but Eddings refused the offer since gearbox was (at the time) about to make its 3rd lootershooter in a monsterously successful chain and he was pne of the most prominent side characters.
