He’s going to take everyone to the brink … maybe even over the edge … and then once everything is failing and on fire, he turn everything around, institute martial law, dicatorial powers on everything and arbitrarily force everything to change by force and coercion and bring everything back to manageable for everyone to see and claim that he saved the country

The Nazis did the same thing at the start of their power grab … but they were only able to sustain the facade for so long before it started to come apart everywhere permanently.
