blady_blah@lemmy.world 1 day ago100%. This is the true “voter fraud” if there is any. Voting for parents, voting for significant others, voting for kids, but doing so on a mail in ballot and usually with their approval.
(I have to admit that I do this with my wife. She says “just fill it out and I’ll sign and turn it in”, so I do. But this could easily be done with coercion also.)
I help my elderly parents fill out their mail-in ballots, but they are always sitting with me, and I read off each vote, and we discuss it, and I check it off for them. If any of us don’t understand something (like the issues and judge votes), I Google it and we figure it out.
We dont always agree, but I always out down the vote they want, because I have ethics, and respect the voting process.

I’m sure you mean that you tell her each marking to fill in and watch her do it. Nearly the same thing. Just clarifying the words you’ve put on the Internet for everyone to see. The words that can be traced back to you if convenient.
