@Blumpkinhead idk. Just random unnecessary changes that's out there that make me think the modmakers were just randomly peeved players were allowed two rooms instead of one. Can't really define it though and I barely remember the skyrim patch.
In my experience, mod makers will create mods that change the game the way they feel it should be. I’m not sure why the change was made in this specific mod that you’re talking about. You would have to ask the mod creator.
