The whole idea that society teaches people what to be attracted to is sort of absurd.
Pop culture presently is pushing objectively unattractive people really hard, but they're just not attractive, and the fact that despite the hard push nobody finds those people attractive.
Women are luckier than men in the sense that men generally are more open to all kinds of women whereas women basically are interested in one kind of man. We see that here.

Right, they cannot actually totally rebrand beauty to people. We reject it.
These days lots of man-jawed women being floated in Hollywood films but none of these women ever gets to have a career. They end up being squarely rejected...

Sometimes I watch an old movie, and there's a hot girl in that movie, and it totally catches me off guard. I'm like "hey! I remember pretty girls! We used to have these in movies!"
