The best “copy” of groundhog day is Palm Springs. Both show the power of having infinite time, and while Palm Springs has one character copying Bill Murray’s hedonism of tricking a girl into sleeping with him, it also has a character using infinite time to solve advanced physics and improve their world, while another goes from being angry at being stuck in loop to realizing this was the best day of his life.

Palm Springs is a good analogy to UBI. Empowering people to use their time as best for them. A much better world than what most of us suffer through. The Truman show is a hellscape of fake friends/wife manipulating you do display product advertisements.
