A_A@lemmy.world 2 months agoi don’t know if it is right or wrong. So, i simply highlighted this caution word because people should to discuss it. Collectively we may find out who is organizing this and if it is legit or not.

I’ve never been involved in organizing protests. I’ve only attended a few, so I don’t know anything about leading them. It seems like a serious warning, which made me worried and curious of what I might be missing. Sorry I can’t help :/

If no one is taking credit for it on the flyer, it might be bait to get people to come out to a fake (& unlicensed) protest to get themselves arrested.

I’m not a lawyer, but I believe in most cases you’re free to demonstrate without a permit, see here: www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/protesters-rights I believe if, for example, you exceed the area’s capacity the police are supposed to give an order to disperse and then give you time to disperse.
However it’s better to get a permit, agreed. And the police may not do what they’re “supposed” to do.
