Thing is, no one is doing that for online services. They’re just charging fees to make extra money. The number of people paying cash is so small in general and most of us aren’t doing that so all that really happens is the raise prices in the usual sneaky fuck you way they do where you don’t know up front what things will cost. It’s ridiculous honestly.

No they weren’t allowed to charge a fee before. They had to build it into the cost of doing business like every other thing that goes into the price. Visa isn’t “allowing” them to SHOW the fee, they’re being forced to allow the fee (surcharge) to be added on because of bills the feds passed.
I guarantee this isn’t working out in your favor. That’s why these businesses fought so hard to have the fee. Visa and MasterCard wanted merchants to not do this because it makes credit cards less attractive if places charge fees. The thing I’m particularly skeptical about is how much they charge. The fees are like 2 to 3 percent. Checks and debit cards are flat like a few cent fees. Allstate charging 5 dollars for debit or 2 dollars for bank transfers is fucking insane.

I used to be that way. I think you’ll eventually find that you like them. Not enough to take a bite out of a raw onion but being cool with them on a burger at least. Sometimes stuff like this just clicks for me as I get older. No idea why lol.

Yeah I’ve noticed a lot of llm subs on streaming platforms and I’m like bro wtf the stuff you download is better than this. How can you be the one making the thing and not put accurate fucking subtitles on it. It’s pathetic. I mean are have the llm do the heavy lifting but you’ve still gotta proof it ffs.

Don’t forget storage prices now too and not just NVMe drives. I can’t wait for this AI hoarding to finally fucking crash. It’s like the mining shit we had with GPUs in steroids. Ugh.

Most systems these days do rewrites (like Apache mod_rewrite) to keep the query parameters out of the URL. Even for pagination. It’s not necessarily on by default though because they don’t know what environment you’re in so you need to do things to enable it (like copy a .htaccess file and enable it in settings).

He shits on everyone all the time. It’s not exclusive to LG or even Apple. It’s just whatever happens to come to his attention. Which is basically pick a company and they’re doing something horrible.

I have an option when it uses it’s internal browser to open in another browser. Sometimes it does that even though I’ve set it so l to use an external browser. But you should still be able to hit options in that internal browser and open in your default.
