You need to look into the Project for a New American Century. It’s a PAC that most of GWB’s initial team was on and were asking fir war with Iraq in 1997. Wanna guess who in the GWB administration was not part of it?

- Comment on Slavery was abolished, so the rich are now trying to make economic oppression the equivalent of slavery. 1 year ago:
It makes difference in the kind of treatment they can expect. You likely are less concerned with your pet’s opinions of things than your family fir example because they are people.
- Comment on Slavery was abolished, so the rich are now trying to make economic oppression the equivalent of slavery. 1 year ago:
That simply isn’t true. When your slaver looks at you as less than human they can justify a lot of mistreatment they would not do to another person.
There’s a reason why Western chattel slavery is so vilified because almost every other nation still thought of slaves as people. Chattel slavery thinks of them like livestock.

You know how you don’t think a monkey is the same thing as a human? It’s like that, slaves were seen as smarter than a monkey but not people.
- Comment on Slavery was abolished, so the rich are now trying to make economic oppression the equivalent of slavery. 1 year ago:
Chattel slavery literally denied that slaves were human beings. They were seen as something less than the way many westerners view all animals.

Japan does this. They get around it with bonuses.

Take a minute or two to look into how poorly wealth caps work. There’s a reason why no nation has them.

Educated in history here (history should have no bias), while there are a greater number of slaves today they represent a smaller portion of the population than during the 1800s. In addition modern slavery is not the same as chattel slavery which is infinitely worse given that it denies the slave’s existence as a human being. Im not saying slavery is OK Im just saying your claims aren’t entirely accurate.

Your opinion is irrelevant since the union decides who gets to join.
I have met most people and it turns out they don’t like you because of your inability to understand colloquial speech and your instance that your opinions are factual.
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:
Ok but that isn’t how the union or most people see things.
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:
He is not an actor. SAG- Screen Actors Guild
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:
Nope that is not an actor as you could be an orator, poet, musician etc. A game show host is not acting.

SAG-AFTRA does and they are striking

She is in SAG and they are striking
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:
Are you really this ignorant of what an actor is?
- Comment on Mayim Bialik Declines to Host ‘Celebrity Jeopardy!’ Amid Strikes, Replaced by Ken Jennings 1 year ago:
She is part of SAG. SAG is striking so she needs to in order to remain in the union. Jennings is NOT part of SAG and there’s no reason for him to join the strike as that would harm all the other staff on the show who would be out of work.

It likely wouldn’t be watched at all.

You don’t think it costs more to do?
Are you completely unaware of how business works?
There’s no way to prove your credentials and frankly I would not be inclined to believe you at all.
- Comment on First (I repeat, first) test of menstrual products using actual blood published last week (I repeat, last week) 1 year ago:
As the only real goal of tampons and pads is to absorb the discharged fluids and prevent their transfer to clothes and skin. Unless there is a rampant problem of menstrual products not working I fail to see how this is a problem.
If you actually work in a lab you should know how much more expensive using biohazards to test would be.
- Comment on First (I repeat, first) test of menstrual products using actual blood published last week (I repeat, last week) 1 year ago:
You don’t need blood to determine the absorbency of the products. We do in fact have a very clear idea how much more viscous blood is compared to water and adjust for that.
The people who are complaining about this I suspect have very little experience lab sciences.
- Comment on First (I repeat, first) test of menstrual products using actual blood published last week (I repeat, last week) 1 year ago:
Also it is a much more expensive way of testing. Water isn’t expensive and doesn’t require special disposal.

Are you a lawyer? Would you happen to know to what extent the owners of lemmy.world are liable in any nation for their role in helping people pirate material? Im willing to bet this is about liability.
