- Comment on The prime minister's 'oh shit' moment when Fatima Payman helped sink key [environment] law 3 weeks ago:
It seems she’s going to align herself with environmental vandals in an effort to secure her re-election in 2028
Nothing screams more Australian politician then that.

I thought the same when I first saw it. Was probably written that way intentionally to garner more clicks.

Southern hemisphere, renewable energy superpower…maybe?

- Comment on Ukraine updates: US calls on North Korea to withdraw troops – DW – 10/31/2024 1 month ago:
Ukraine is now being invaded by TWO countries. This wait and hope that Ukraine will come out on top seems less and less likely.
- Comment on LNP wins the Queensland election after nearly a decade in opposition but it wasn't the emphatic victory predicted 1 month ago:
Disappointed.
The only solid policy the LNP came to the election with, was that they were going to scrap the mining royalty tax. Okay then, what is their plan to replace that revenue…crickets.
Say goodbye to the progressive state we had, cause everything is going to sold off, sacked, and ripped to pieces.

Netanyahu is a freaking warmonger, why is the west still supporting them?

Pokemon Red and Blue being R18+ if they ever re-released would be funny as hell.

First Book Depository, and now Booktopia. This is freaking tragic 😥

“If we have to fight with our fingernails, then we’ll do what we have to do.”
These cunts are hellbent on killing as many Palestinians as possible, aren’t they?
- Comment on Bonza staff queue at Centrelink for emergency payments as airline administrators confirm April wages will not be paid 7 months ago:
A whole months wage evaporated into thin air. That’s really freaking sad. I really hope they all can get something from the eventual liquidation.
Also this quote:
“Centrelink is not enough to support a family — it’s probably not even enough to support one person.”
Not even a safety net for them to fall back on, the whole system is cooked.
- Comment on Strike That Killed World Central Kitchen Workers Bears Hallmarks of Israeli Precision Strike 8 months ago:
But Israel is really sorry. Even Joe Biden threatened the US aid policy to Israel (which probably means nothing will change).
- Comment on Former News Limited CEO Kim Williams set to replace Ita Buttrose as ABC chair 10 months ago:
Is this good or bad for the ABC?
- Comment on Conservative politicians stoking Australia Day debate online with paid ads, analysis finds 11 months ago:
Agreed. I don’t see how or why “we” are attached to the date. Australia Day was made an official public holiday in 1994, not that long ago in retrospect. So why not change it? (I know the various states and territories were celebrating the day before 1994, but still).
I’d be in favour of having Australia Day always on a Monday or Friday, guarantees a long weekend, and is there anything more Australian than celebrating on a long weekend?
