We do. I think it can depend on where you are. In my county, it most commonly is for tornadoes, but it can also sound for blizzards, other severe storms, hazardous chemical releases, and ‘civil emergency.’
I like this much better than just for tornadoes. You could check your county government website, see what it says.

I don’t remember all the details, but the contract UPS signed as a strike loomed included A/C in all new vans.
They will fix, update, retrofit, duck tape, weld and repaint the existing vans until the wheels absolutely fall off. For years.

I have an ecotank too. No BS subscription shenanigans, painless to get it working. What impresses me is the lack of it breaking if it sits even months between uses, usually not even needing to be cleaned.
