- Comment on Western Digital is already sold out of hard drives for all of 2026 — chief says some long-term agreements for 2027 and 2028 already in place 19 hours ago:
HGST was created after Hitachi bought IBM’s hard drive business. It was then later bought by Western Digital.
- Comment on Why is Valve being sued for almost $900 million, but Epic Games wasn't sued when they bought Rocket League and Fall Guys to remove them from steam? 2 weeks ago:
Valve is being sued because they are forcing others to follow policies that further entrenches Steam as the largest store.
Since Epic bought the game developer, it only applies to themselves. It is much harder to sue someone over a decision that only applies to something they own. How can a company be sued for not selling their product at a store? Should Valve be sued for not selling their own games on Epic or GOG?
Is Epic’s decision to only sell their games on their store annoying for users? Yes. But unfortunately, there is nothing illegal about. There would be a better chance of a lawsuit of Epic paying other game developers for exclusivity, but that would still not be easy as game exclusivity is still a significant factor on game consoles as well. Albeit much less than in the past.
- Comment on Which RSS are you using? 2 months ago:
I self-host Miniflux. The web client is very good on both desktop and mobile, but I prefer using it with the lire app on iOS.
- Comment on The Switch 2: Is it worth buying? 8 months ago:
But the Switch was a unique form-factor at the time that did not have direct competition for most of its life. Nintendo essentially created the hybrid handheld console segment. As previously mentioned, there is much more competition this time around, including the much cheaper original Switch.

At least they didn’t call it Fox+.
- Comment on What is a passkey, in practice? Is it a file? A token? Can I keep it in an USB drive? How can I save it in case of device loss? 1 year ago:
Can I store a passkey in a platform agnostic way?
Yes, if you use a platform agnostic password manager that supports passkeys such as Bitwarden.
- Comment on the number of spam calls i've received since i started using this sim card 1 year ago:
Whoever had the number before you likely gave it out to any service that asked.
Since you only use it for data, I recommend contacting your provider and asking for a different number.
- Comment on Xbox Game Pass made $230 million revenue in one month, most users pay for full subscriptions 2 years ago:
Considering Microsoft is supposedly releasing a new revision of the Xbox Series X and S next year without disc drives, I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Given the direction the industry is moving, I wouldn’t be surprised if the PS6 and whatever Microsoft calls the next Xbox are all digital only.
