They’re not wrong.
The sad part is since Trump, I’ve found a lot of right wingers are also acting weird.
They’re not even trying to be otherwise. Like even stupid stuff like being obsessed with gas stoves and talking absolute nonsense about induction.
They’re just all shouting out nonsense hoping it sticks after being inspired by Trump doing the same
- Comment on Hacker Shows How to Get Free Laundry For Life 3 months ago:
Like I’m doing?
The difference is, CSC isn’t openly advertising theft and acting as an accessory for theft.
I’m not saying they’re right, as they’re clearly wrong. But that’s a civil law being broken
These are criminal laws being broken (more than one), and it clearly doesn’t fall under fair use.
People regularly get busted because of bragging like this… Hence why it’s not super smart. Yes, they can do something about this
No, I don’t agree with CSC, however, from my understanding of the situation, residents can perform a charge back technically too from my understanding
- Comment on Hacker Shows How to Get Free Laundry For Life 3 months ago:
So.
We have a guy bragging about theft publicly… Really smart…
- Comment on Join fediverser.network, make it easy to bring Australian redditors to the Fediverse? 3 months ago:
I personally don’t see more redditors as a good thing at this point.
Reddit has gone full blown cesspool on many subs, and I’m not sure having them would help, especially if it overwhelms moderation.
A lot of Reddit is also posting populist stuff at this point to get attention, rather than acting normal.
I’d prefer a smaller quality community where people are normal, instead of one where we end up with people trying to fight for the most attention (sometimes as an attempt to get attention by advertisers).

Lots of people are saying this is a false flag
Like it’s that unbelievable that a guy who has promised to be a dictator, put women at risk of death, basically arrest political rivals unjustifiably and pardon criminals isn’t one of the earths most hated men

I just didn’t 20 hours so far on it
What I don’t like is that you need to finish the day for it to save
Also the wording about what happens to crops at the end of season should change
But otherwise, it’s something to do, but it is getting a bit click and pointy really. I wish you should pair up with characters more and walk around with then
- Comment on Pharaoh at the NGV is the greatest exhibition of ancient Egyptian art ever seen in Australia 5 months ago:
Last Egyptian one I went to was super expensive and you couldn’t take photos. Furthermore, lots of waiting.
I only go to the free sections at the ngv now
- Comment on South Australia proposes a ban on political donations 5 months ago:
It’s about time. It’s absolutely insane the amount of corruption journalists like Jordan shanks unveiled
And if you see all the crap happening in America, it suggests that we don’t even know the full extent.
In particular, it’s pretty obvious that real estate and mining sectors are doing dodgy donations

Sigh…
I RUN a hiking group here in Australia. And the sole purpose of this question is to promote toxic men and women to start toxic discussions. I’ve never seen it posted outside of Reddit/lemmy in hiking communities, and the one female messaged me about it once, and called it stupid…
The vast majority of people who join my group (even overnight solo with me), are women (and no, I’m not a bear)
Whenever the question of safety comes up in hiking groups, and anyone says "women need to bring a weapon, and keep it under your pillow, trying to make them feel insecure, the entire female and male community tends to completely blast them for doing so. Such threads are always full of primarily women re-affirming others that discussions like this, aren’t real life (and bad voices generally drain out experienced ones)
So, things might be different in America, but here in Australia, it’s not true. And I regularly speak to a few women who run their own groups, and whilst I can’t speak on behalf of any of them, I suspect at least some of them would hate this discussion, as they are interested in encouraging women to hike, be active and be their best self.
I’d even argue, the question wasn’t posted by someone who had any real experience with hiking either.

I’d prefer they were busy trying to remove trackers than swooping.
My friend works in outdoor lighting at certain events and recently worked on a major outdoor event. Some of the shiny treasure section went missing. Eventually, they worked out it was a magpie and it was the first time world wide a bird stole parts of the exhibit

Like the whole section about macos. Apple constantly screws developers, and somehow, the author has seemed to blame valve lol. There’s a lot of reason lots of people don’t develop for Mac, and they’re mostly valid rather than political
- Comment on Mulch believed to be contaminated with asbestos found at a Melbourne playground 7 months ago:
There’s a lot of asbestos out there. They can’t really be expected to test literally everything for asbestos imho.
This is probably yet another case caused by the dodgy building industry
When I bought my house, I asked about asbestos, and the building inspector missed a lot of it, and the real estate agent claimed there was none. There was lots

Definitely a hacked/fake account lol
On an unrelated note, nothing screams dominance more than someone who gets their lifeprotips from a guy who needs to abuse women to get them to listen to him, and got arrested by the police. Sure seems the police are the alphas in this case lol.
And in the US, E Jean Carrol seems to have shown “President” Trump who is really in charge too

- Comment on 4K Blu-ray isn't dying despite Disney and Best Buy's efforts - it's more important than ever 9 months ago:
The big issue with Blu-Ray is that they kept adding new copy protection schemes to it breaking older players.
Streaming companies have also been screwing people recently too, so there’s a very real chance that piracy will just grow. But there is technically nothing special about Blu-Ray’s which can’t be done by streaming (provided they’re willing to use that much bandwidth)
