- Comment on Anger at Netanyahu Rises as He Retreats to Billionaire-Owned Private Mansion 1 year ago:
Might as well count Bibi gone, but not until the shooting stops.
- Comment on I'm watching Wargames(1983), could local people have heard the missile doors opening during a test? 1 year ago:
Not around the ranch lands where they are located. But, you do know when the SAC bases scramble. 20 or more B52s lifting off is hard to miss.
- Comment on Baby boomers are becoming homeless at a rate not seen since the Great Depression 1 year ago:
The real estate market became a ‘thing’ with John Jacob Astor in the 1830s. And yes investment rules change.
- Comment on Baby boomers are becoming homeless at a rate not seen since the Great Depression 1 year ago:
Those rules were set before the Boomers were born too.
- Comment on Baby boomers are becoming homeless at a rate not seen since the Great Depression 1 year ago:
Most real estate conglomerates are run by 30-40 year old MBAs looking for return on investments so they can get a big bonus. They set the market. They are not boomers.
- Comment on Ukraine says it launched its missile strike on the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea fleet to coincide with a meeting of Russian naval officers 1 year ago:
Bet someone watched that strike via satellite in real time.
- Comment on Baby boomers are becoming homeless at a rate not seen since the Great Depression 1 year ago:
I’m sure boomers have complete control of the real estate market for those that evidently know nothing about it.
- Comment on Indian politician threatens to nuke Canada on live show 1 year ago:
Canada is part of NATO. India is not, take that silliness somewhere else.
- Comment on US auto workers strike escalates as UAW president calls on 38 more plants to join 1 year ago:
I heard this morning that the Stellantis negotiations are likely going to be a complete shitshow. They’re already planning to move / shutdown several plants and it appears to be a major pain-point in the UAW negotiations.
- Comment on Zelenskiy secures $325m in new US aid even as Republican support wanes 1 year ago:
Let’s be clear…Republican support hasn’t waned. Certainly Senate Republicans, with the exception of Rand Paul, would and have voted for Ukrainian money, and it isn’t all House Republicans either. It’s a minority of the majority.
- Comment on Libya floods death toll passes 3,000 as damage becomes clear 1 year ago:
The internet took a big hit here according to netblockers. But 3,000 death toll is pretty large.

Pifffffff…everyone wants to play in Paris. The US will have pros before the Olympics.
- Comment on Ukraine is gaining ground in its counter offensive, NATO chief says 1 year ago:
The US House is going to try to use Ukraine aid as a bargaining chip in the needed budget. They’re going to try to force changes in border policy in exchange. McCarthy’s deal with Biden was in bad faith.
- Comment on US Says North Korea Will 'Pay a Price' for Any Weapons Supplies to Russia 1 year ago:
Do Trump’s love letters count for nothing?
- Comment on Kevin doesn't share though 1 year ago:
No, but I’m old enough to remember my granddad called it and have the railroad watch he used to carry there. He was an engineer and the trains ran on time. Interesting how long the design lasted.
- Comment on Kevin doesn't share though 1 year ago:
Let me help you younguns. Its a watch pocket. Back in the day when jeans were invented men had pocket watches,
- Comment on [deleted] 1 year ago:
As potent as Dobbs is, it is more than that. It is about freedom. It is about citizens having a full and fair say in policy and in who represents them.
This crap of the GQP changing the rules constantly, like a schoolyard game, and gerrymandering and voter suppression is bullshit and it needs to be ended.
Last night was another step towards that.
- Comment on What’s going on with the reports of a room-temperature superconductor? 1 year ago:
We have levitation videos, we have the paper saying theoretically this compound cannot just be a diamagnet, and now we have the first independent confirmation of superconductivity. It is not room temperature YET, but it is ambient pressure. Absolutely just a matter of time before someone creates a sample good enough to exhibit the same characteristics at room temperature.
