- Comment on The $700 price tag isn’t hurting PS5 Pro’s early sales 3 days ago:
I feel like I’m the target audience for this and I have no interest. Ive bought every PlayStation, including the PS4 pro, though I did wait for the 3 to hit $400. I’ve had ps+ since the PS3.
I still have plus until july as I’d always buy a year or 2 on black friday sales. They’ve jacked the price of plus so much that I’m very unlikey to renew now. And $700 for the pro is fucking stupid. If the PS6 continues on this trend, I might just be completely done with them even though I really do like the exclusives.

- Comment on why does every single flashlight have multiple settings that you have to scroll through? 2 months ago:
I mean for that, my phone works fine. I set the bixby button to turn on\off the flashlight. Single button on off always on me. Of course being programmable, you could program a simple on off as well on the hex.
I used the hexbright camping and stargazing. The hold setting is so dim its useless unless you’re in pitch black and just need to see the star chart. And you don’t want bright as it takes at least 30 minutes to recover your night vision after a bright flash so that’s what my use case was.
- Comment on why does every single flashlight have multiple settings that you have to scroll through? 2 months ago:
I have 2 Hexbright flashlights. They’re programmable so you can make it work however you want. Really wish the company went beyond the kickstarter because I’d love some different models with the same customization.
I have mine programmed where from off hold=as low as possible. Then standardish 3 brightness, starts at low first click. Hold button while on for turbo. But my favorite part is if you don’t click the button for 5 seconds, the next click is off instead of the next brightness. Saves your night vision not having to cycle through high to turn off.

- Comment on Anon quits their job 2 months ago:
I guess there’s a limit here too. I’ve never made enough when having to reley on unemployment to hit the max. I just looked it up though and looks like its a bit over $800 for the weekly max.
- Comment on Anon quits their job 2 months ago:
Maybe this is a difference between countries, but is fired for cause and laid off treated different? Like I can understand and appreciate the protections if your position is eliminated or something. In the US we have unemployment insurance where you can get I think 3/4 of your normal pay if laid off. But if you get fired for cause then you’re on your own.
- Comment on Sony. What are you even doing right now? PS5 Pro Announcement 3 months ago:
Ok, xbox is confusing with the one, one x, series x. Etc But PS is PS5 and ps5pro. And I guess whether you want a disc drive.
PS has kept their naming consistent enough that it’s not hard to figure out. Ps4 and ps5 are obviously different gens, one x series x doesn’t inform you in any way what’s better.
- Comment on Sony. What are you even doing right now? PS5 Pro Announcement 3 months ago:
If you think the ps5 game selection is bad wait till you see what xbox doesn’t have. And everything exclusive to xbox is on PC. Sony has been absolutely mopping the floor with xbox this gen, which is probably why they think people will spend $700 in the pro.
And how’s your internet? Because I’ve never thought the videos on the store were bad enough to complain about. Might not be 4k but its never been blurry for me.
- Comment on California Votes To Approve $150K In Taxpayer-Funded Home Loans For Illegal Aliens 3 months ago:
Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula (D-Calif.), the author of the bill, has claimed that the legislation would still require applicants to meet federal requirements, which includes providing either taxpayer identification or a Social Security number, both of which are things that illegals are generally not supposed to have.
So which is it? Helping illegals get a home, or helping those that are legal according to the federal government?

The sub min definitely needs to go. But my state is double the fed min and requires state min for wait staff. Min still isn’t a living wage, and tips are still needed.

This has never been an issue. The only forced update at least on PS is if the game is live sercice online. Stuff like destiny. Otherwise just put your disc in and play.

Its currently on sale. Recent reviews haven’t been as good as initial ones though. People are mentioning it has wait mechanics like mobile games where it takes like an hour of real time to do something. I’m still interested in it, but will probably wait for it to get out of early access.
- Comment on Anon has a question 4 months ago:
I don’t do it with lots of oil. I mentioned putting bacon fat in a tin can, so we’re talking less than you’d get cooking bacon. See my other reply about semantics of absorb. For small amounts, the oil will emulsify with the soap. Which then can be rinsed away with water. This is how it makes your dishes clean, I’m sure it works the same down the drain.
- Comment on Anon has a question 4 months ago:
We’re not in science class.
sciencing.com/adding-soap-oil-water-7408600.html
soap molecules can break the oil molecules into smaller ones and allow the water molecules attached to them to surround the smaller oil fragments, creating an emulsion.
Is close enough in plain english to absorb the oil.
- Comment on Anon has a question 4 months ago:
If small amounts of oil that hardens when at room temp, like bacon fat. Throw it in a tin can to cool, garbage when the can fills. Oil that doesn’t harden, personally I put a bunch of dish soap into the oily pan to absorb the oil and wash it down the sink. Not sure if the dish soap does enough but seems safe to me.
If its a large amount, like for deep frying. Local recycling might take it. I know curbside pickup will take used motor oil for me, so I imagine they’d take fryer oil too.

- Comment on $70 titles are doomed to go “the way of the dodo” says Saber Interactive CEO 8 months ago:
I have ads blocked everywhere, so I don’t know if BG3 had traditional advertising. I do know they focused a lot on the voice actors with YouTube stuff like them playing table top D&D.
- Comment on $70 titles are doomed to go “the way of the dodo” says Saber Interactive CEO 8 months ago:
The article doesn’t really say pricing will go up. Just that the current AAA $70 isn’t sustainable. Even says he doesn’t want to sell their next game at $70, but is afraid of it being perceived as a lower quality game if cheaper. I think hellblade 2 will be a good test if a cheaper game price is seen as a negative. Personally, I loved 1, with their AA idea. Which is just AAA quality, in a shorter length. After the first hellblade, I was really hoping we’d see more high quality games releasing at different price ranges. Seems only indies, really move away from $70 though. I just beat immortals of avalon on ps+, and I think that would have been a perfect example of a game that should have released at $40. It wasn’t worth $70, but was a pretty fun experience for the right price.
