- Comment on FromSoftware didn’t want Sony to publish Dark Souls as it was ‘disappointed’ by how Demon’s Souls was treated 2 days ago:
Sony owns 14% of fromsoft and 10% of their parent company’s parent company. I bet that’s enough for them to push some shitty things but it still gives from some room to push back.
- Comment on Are mood problems a “turn off” for people even when they’re hard to manage? 5 days ago:
I would highly reccomend talking to a therapist. It can be hard to find one that works for you, but give it a shot and try a few if one doesn’t work. Therapy can be incredibly helpful and this is something that sounds like it’s having a negative impact on your life.

GOG Seels DRM free games that you can download the installers and all necessary files. No matter what they do, once you’ve downloaded it, they can’t stop you from playing it.

They’re like the only store that actually sells you the game and not a revokable license to a game

- Comment on How does SecureErase work? 8 months ago:
When you normally delete a file, it doesn’t actually delete it to save time, it just marks the space as free, so any new files can be written into that part of your drive.
But the actual data just remains there until a new file is written to the storage.
SecureErase does the second part without making an actual file.
Normal delete:
File: 01010101 -> no file:01010101
Secure erase:
File: 01010101 -> no file:00000000

That’s the neat part, you don’t.
It can only be done by one of the instance admins.

Oh, yeah, I was mostly joking, more people have it downloaded means it’s basically impossible to take down

Yeah, I’m glad there’s a bunch of options! I know I have some oddly specific preferences and I’m sure others do too, so hopefully there’s something that’ll mostly acomodate everyone.

Honestly, it’s improved a ton, I haven’t run into any bugs the last few weeks
