Moving out at a young age is only a norm in just a handful of countries, mainly the English speaking ones. Reason being that they were more developed than the rest of the world, making it possible for them to move out when they turn 18. Poverty is a big reason why families are closer and live together for a much longer period. But many of these developed nations seem to be regressing these days, with more money flowing upwards than downwards.
I agree though. The best time to move out is after you’ve worked and saved up enough for a down payment for your own place. Those few years are perhaps the best opportunity to save up that most of us may never get again.

Binding of Isaac and Death Stranding. I just keep going back to these 2 even after I’ve 100% them.
- Comment on Has AI made any breakthroughs in other fields? Or how close are we to that happening? 1 year ago:
I stand corrected. Thank you for educating me. I just assumed that previous NLP algorithms were not too far off from LLM in terms of capabilities, which is apparently not the case.

The “breakthrough” likely happened a long time ago, but as with all tech, it was only recently accessible to the general public. LLM alone isn’t even that sophisticated to begin with.
AI assistant will soon be an essential part of our lives. It will handle grocery shopping based on your dietary requirements, conduct basic diagnosis of your health, create personalized software, books, music, and movies on the fly for you, do your taxes and offer financial advices. All these are already happening.
- Comment on Why most posts (so far as I can tell) have very short lifespan tendency? 1 year ago:
Probably because most of us are sorting by top 6/12 hours since there isn’t enough content to sort by top day/week, which will obviously improve as we grow.
- Comment on Why sometimes my car slows down going downhill? 1 year ago:
Optical illusion is most likely the reason instead of engine brake if your vehicle slows down significantly in certain areas and doesn’t on other downhills with similar angle.
There is this slope near a waterfall around where I live. If you put your car in neutral gear at the bottom of the slope, it rolls up the hill. We named it magnetic hill back in high school, but I later found out that it was just an optical illusion that happens everywhere around the world. Basically some uphill looks like downhill and vice versa. Google “Gravity Hill”.

OK spoiler tag definitely doesn’t work haha. I’m using liftoff which comes with built-in tools for spoilers but it didn’t work too.
Transporter Trike is hands down my favourite vehicle in the game! It’s a shame that I had to stop using it once I got to the mountains. It’s just impossible to get S rank for premium LL time sensitive deliveries with them. Plus ziplines are immune to BTs.
To be honest I’d very much prefer riding the bike than zipping around. The latter was cool at the beginning but became too much of a chore later on and really breaks immersion for me. Would be nice if they could add some sort of snow bikes. Maybe we’ll see that in DS2.

I just finished Directors Cut and currently trying to 100% it. Just can’t get enough of it! What’s the difference between DC and the original release?
