- Comment on Failure to launch: why the Albanese government is in trouble 1 month ago:
There is a growing tide of discontent as an entire generation foots the damage and bills of their predecessors. Until Labor finds a backbone and makes real, sweeping reforms in places where it actually matters to the majority of Australian families (complete tax overhaul, for one. Proper housing reform for another), they will continue to flounder. They had the opportunity to make large reforms, picked the wrong one to start with (voice), bungled it, and are now frozen with fright.
The tragedy is that even if they get another go at it, I have little faith that the current cabinet will change their mediocre, middle-of-the-road strategy of minimal impact. As Whitlam rightfully said, Labor is the party of reform and as soon as they stop being that, they are dead in the water.

Don’t threaten me with a good time. A so-called ‘minority’ government is actually a good thing, keeps the bastards honest.

What a fuck up. What’s wrong with a standard default timeline of stories… I shouldn’t be pushed lifestyle and opinion pieces in my news feed.

A lawsuit waiting to happen… someone needs to class action MS for systemic breaches of privacy. Think of all the critical infrastructure, government, medical, policing, etc. systems processing sensitive, private, and in some cases classified, information.

Shameful conduct by ABC executives. Time for a roll I say.
- Comment on With the ubiquity of inflation and shrinkflation, why aren't there more boycotts? When will people say enough is enough? 8 months ago:
Boycotts work in luxury markets with strong competition. Necessity markets with highly concentrated monopolies? No chance. Without legislation to protect consumers, they are powerless to defend themselves against the greed and exploitation of corporate interests.

While the sentiment is good, the excecution is typical terrible, enabling manufacturers to do very little to address the problem while looking like they are doing a lot. Typical lazy “industry designed” guidelines.

Tell me about it, it’s way to cold for chrissy! 30 - 35 degree chrissy with some beach and bbq are the best.

- Comment on Sea of Thieves adds PvE mode (with 30% rewards) 1 year ago:
After trying to get into this game, twice, I always felt it would be made so much better with PvE instead of PvP. Like all MMO’s, if you didn’t get in on the ground floor, it’s ultra confusing and punishing to try to work your way in now, with so many unexplained mechanics and just getting griefed over and over.
- Comment on I don't understand the whole Twitter/Mastodon social media format 1 year ago:
That’s my understanding as well, never understood its appeal as a social platform, tried to use it for a few months but it’s shouting into the void and loudest voice wins. Tis a silly place.

Interesting. Anyone who has had to deal with OSA before can probably immediately recognise that the positive airflow solution is a rather primitive approach (with side effects on oral hygiene) and manipulation of the jaw, plus other non-physical treatments, should be considered.
