Why are you the kind of person who doesn’t like seeing others having fun without him?

Yes and it’s great.
- Comment on The number of lines for each character by percentage of the series 4 months ago:
This definitely goes to show why people felt Discovery was the Micheal Burnham show. Not that she had an unusual number of lines but that no one else spoke even half as much as her, with all of the other percentages of lines broken up by more characters than the other series.
Also does GEORGIOU count for both prime and mirror versions of the character?
- Comment on Canon Connections: DIS 5x10 - Life, Itself 5 months ago:
You also missed the time Boimler died saving his ensigns and when he was revived, Ransom said something to the effect that a person doesn’t forget their first death implying he also died at one point.

IIRC, the arm swing he does is because of how he has to walk in his foot prosthetics

Could you please expand on what you mean by shoehorning in the Guinan scene? How would you handle it if you were the episode writer?
Edit: to be clear, I know what shoehorning is, I just want to know why you think it occured here.
- Comment on Were the [REDACTED] also a result of the Progenitors? DIS s5 spoilers 6 months ago:
I agree. We know that there are non-bipedal sapients (eg Tinman, Tholians, some Xindi, Belugas, etc) so there must be some species not made in the image of the Progenitors.

That is definitely a top contender!
Not dark, but I think the. Most tragic is “Sound or her Voice” where they try to rescue the standard captain on an unbreathable atmosphere planet…

The easiest way to stop piracy is not by putting antipiracy technology to work. It’s by giving those people a service that’s better than what they’re receiving from the pirates

- Comment on Happy Birthday Terry Farrell 11 months ago:
I mean, she slept with Worf, which is the one thing she’s not supposed to do.
And like I said, there may be a difference in personalities between symbionts in how dominant they are. Plus Dax had lived through 8 pairings and knew Ezri wasn’t trained. It could regulate.
- Comment on Happy Birthday Terry Farrell 11 months ago:
This is probably why Trill have to undergo years of training before joining, to keep their personalities more merged in.
It could also be that Dax prefers to be more passive in its relationship with its host compared to Odan. This makes sense because if the point of Joining is to gain new experiences, overpowering the host won’t let the symbiote learn.

I believe this wasnt a Rebellion but a covert Dominion ploy to accomplish at least three things

How are you on your 9th run?! I am a hundred plus hours in and I still haven’t finished my first. Do you knowingly limit which quests you choose?
I’ve made peace with the fact I am missing some quests, but I feel there’s still so much to do before finishing act 3.

I’m sure there’s reports. And as a Vulcan lady with superior olfactory senses, it is only logical to become aware of what smells may occur.

Yeah, there was no reason for an Ensign to run Ops on a ship like Voyager. It would have been great writing for after Paris gets demoted, Janeway takes the pip and places it on Kim’s collar.

Masks is my favorite Data TNG episode.
- Comment on Star Trek executive producer wants more Strange New Worlds episodes, and I’m nervous 1 year ago:
Alternatively, some of the best episodes of TNG were “bottle” episodes to fill space and keep costs down. If 90s trek had shorter seasons would we have had “Measure of a Man” ,“Duet”, or “Masks” made?
I know the days of a 24 episode season are long gone due to the increase of production time in modern TV, but maybe we could have 13 to 15 episodes ? Enough for a 10 episode dedicated season arc with a few others just to explore some weird anomalies that make no sense at all.
- Comment on Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Strange New Worlds | 2x10 "Hegemony" 1 year ago:
I think we can excuse the fact that apparently everyone and their transporter clone had Pelia as their engineering professor. She’s been at the academy for so long, I wouldn’t be surprised if she dated Boothby on and off again or at least got him into gardening.
There’s a long tradition in star trek where characters talk about one particular professor or class at the Academy and the other character always knows who the professor is.

Quark: I want you to try something for me. Take a sip of this.
Garak: What is it?
Quark: A human drink. It’s called root beer.
Garak: I don’t know.
Quark: Come on. Aren’t you just a little bit curious?
Quark: What do you think?
Garak: It’s vile.
Quark: I know. It’s so bubbly and cloying and happy.
Garak: Just like the Federation.
Quark: But you know what’s really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it.
Garak: It’s insidious.
Quark: Just like the Federation.

Lower decks is pretty good. Although like all trek, the first season takes a few episodes to get its pacing right.
