My friends mom was extremely ill and died at home because she refused to call an ambulance due to cost. I’m guessing the number of people in the USA dying under similar circumstances is high, but I don’t know the number. My comment was downvoted badly, but I wasn’t saying there isn’t a problem, just saying that this poll is weak. I agree the cost of healthcare in the USA keeps many from seeking care, but I wouldn’t repeat that percentage with confidence in a discussion.

They polled only 1,507 U.S. adults. For a population of over 340 million people, this is a very small sample size to confidently declare a 92% national trend.
