- Comment on 11 months ago:Please make it 'canSearch' and use ActivityStreams objects as values to be compatible with others that are already doing this and then this will be compatible with something like FEP-5624 (even though that specific proposal threatens to eliminate the Facebook side of the fediverse - the permission setting is still valid and we generate it and honour it). The importance of using ActivityStreams objects is apparent if you want to restrict to something like a circle/aspect or just two or three specific actors. We're also considering adding canSearchTags for that specific variant of search. At the moment, canSearch is used for either/both.
canQuote is dead on arrival because it's physically impossible to prevent - at least on public posts. And if you quote a private post you'll be blocked to hell and back.
