For sure, someone else linked a more recent ifixit and yeah, right to repair is just getting nonexistent. I embrace the hopeful coming of more and more hardware for Linux
- Comment on I ain't risking shit 1 day ago:
Well that tracks with the devices becoming more and more disposable
- Comment on I ain't risking shit 1 day ago:
I’ve changed out fingerprint scanners and mostly just peripherals like the speakers and jacks and things like that. The board itself is pretty much locked down with nothing you can replace other than maybe a few components like a capacitor or something and even now they’re becoming increasingly just disposable unfortunately
- Comment on I ain't risking shit 1 day ago:
Nah they have a good amount of replaceable parts on the inside. I used to repair iPhones a lot and the worst part was just the tiny components

Exactly what I was thinking. Petroleum companies have been working on it for years I’m sure

Look at how much capitalism creates progress and drives us as a species to better ourselves. Next step, how to make money off people breathing air and sell them a subscription for it so they can continue to consume

I would like to hear more of that for real, stagnant ass music lately unless you just live in the underground
- Comment on Anon thinks it's over 1 week ago:
tbf, a lot of pop and generic stuff is incredibly soulless and it was made by people. One silver lining is that hopefully the artistic part will be more embraced in music because the driving force for a lot of it is money and not art. Not defending AI in any way though, fuck that bullshit to hell.

Yeah same here I didn’t even bother with that. Just backed up some files and windows went bye bye. Even any issues I’ve had have so much support available that it’s not anywhere near as intimidating as I was making it out to be prior to switching.

Tax strike and contribute to the economy as little as you possibly can. Fuck this ghoul and fuck every piece of shit that voted for him.

Safety razors are nice, really loved when I went from clippers and disposable razors to a safety razor. My beard grows fast so I like to just shave as close as I can so that was a godsend. Recently went all out finally and got a straight razor and like it even more than the safety razor. You have to be very careful with it and good at sharpening but it’s a great shave once you get the hang of it. Awesome 1911, too. That thing packs a fucking wallop
