  The Artist-Centric model sucks. The artists that benefits the most is the biggest artists like Drake etc. This system does create a two-tier royalty structure that favors bigger or more established artists with a loyal fanbase

  Products get worse all the time to grow profits. You don’t need to improve the product to remain competitive, you can buy innovative startups and get credits for their inventions or worse to simply killing them

  I only listen to music locally, i don’t even use self hosted services. Musicolet is the perfect musicplayer. My collection is both purchased bandcamp music and music downloaded using spot-dl. As hip hop being the dominent genre i listen to it easy to discover new artists just by finding features
