I know it’s a joke but I’ve legit curbed my snacking habits by eating a single chip as slowly as I possibly can.
A bit tough at the start but over time, that need to inhale yummy foods does reduce. Would recommend trying!
And now you’ve given me a new way to level up in Zen. Going to win Zen so hard, you’ll be eating my Cheese & Jalapeño flavour dust.

Appreciate your reccs!
Love the voice notes idea. And zettel seems quite fit for purpose especially compared to Obsidian. Will have to see what transcription services are available.

Was not aware of bookwyrm so thank you. Having some community definitely helps with motivation.
Funnily enough, How Democracies Die is technically on my hard books list that I simply can’t get past the first chapter. It’s tricky to find time and determine what is a worthwhile struggle vs just a unworthwhile pain.
Appreciate your answer and recommendations! Will have to take it 2 pages at a time as you say haha.

I only was using it as a category!
A few people are great friends of mine!! I like all people equally.

Ooh haven’t taken a bath in years! Pray the book isn’t too interesting otherwise you’ll prune into old age.
Thanks for the input! If I may ask, where exactly do you do your academic reading? On your desk? And how do you make time/ritual for it?

Well put! Thank you.

I hear you and yep, since throwing ability is limited, trust is in short supply.
Which is why I wanted to consider that throwing ability can vary and therefore the amount of trust. And what can I extrapolate from this scale!

You’re quite right! The body thankfully does have some margin before it all goes downhill. I was exaggerating a tad too emphasize the vigilance aspect.
Although I do have older aunts and uncles who do need this level of high bodily maintenance.
(Not sure on your stance on Mr C.K but this bit lives rent free in my head on this topic Soz, couldn’t find a better link)

And never stop doing it. One lapse or moment of weakness and bamm… back to the physio.

It’s scary how plausible this tweet sounds in this age. I had to frantically Google to make sure this wasn’t a true tweet haha 😅
There’s usually stuff “unspoken” and it seems the folks in power are slowly removing that veil… with minimal repercussions.

Huh. Never thought about it that way…
But. They have to get up somehow. So even if it was an elevator or escalator, it would still be their final ascension and potentially nerve wracking.
Can only think one way out of this… Maybe if the participant was anesthesia’d. Then one is suddenly awakened on top of this rollercoaster of doom, slowly watching the end come near. Each loop, closer to death. (That’s how I feel most days 🙃)
