See, the thing is that in my country we don’t really have a tradition for trick or treating since halloween itself is entirely imported from the US by corporations and stores trying to offload more candy and junks for profit. And still, every god damn year I buy candy just in case any of the kids in our neighbourhood decides they want to this year start trick or treating, because I wouldn’t want to be the house where a kid comes to our door, excited to get some sweets and have a bit of fun, and receive only dissappointment and sadness.
However unsurpisingly every year I end up eating all the candy with my spouse. But it’s a sacrifice we’re willing to do, because if the day ever comes and kids here start trick or treating, I want to spread happiness from the start, since in this day and age kids deserve to do silly things and just be happy.
If anyone tries to tell me that I’m only making excuses, I will deny all such ludicrous allegations until the day I die!

As a dad of a three year old with a VERY ravenous appetite for knowledge, I can confirm this. It somehow also feels like that kinda seems to be developing some thinking skills because the kid is sometimes surprisingly profound and has a magnificent imagination.

If 4 is some weird ass moomin spoon like I think it might, definitely that one because fuck yeah moomin!
Otherwise it has to be the goblin shovel.

This. It needed absolutely nothing added to it. You could write text files, what more did anyone ever need from it? The app was done. It was ready.
This is a concept that is not even in the vocabulary of IT companies these days and I can understand it for complex systems that have dependencies up the wazoo but notepad was just a notepad and that was good enough.

We used to have a nap room (which I actually requested and used often) until we downsized to a smaller office after Covid and we never got it back unfortunately. I mean what can I say, sometimes you just need to take a nice 10-15min power nap to get by. These days I use empty two person meeting rooms for this if the sleepies suddenly start hitting real hard. 😂

Funny you should mention, we actually have a PC and VR gear at the office that is free to use on breaks and it has beat saber installed. Unfortunately I can’t play it because I get nauseated easily by VR but I have a few colleagues who play a lot during breaks. 😅

I mean… I’m writing this while at the office “working” so I that seems very valid to me. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Exactly this. The only way this notion gets entertained beyond just straight up dismissal is bribery and corruption.

Actually the more I think about it the more it seems like the only, legally fair decision. Either all of them are demanded to allow alternative app stores or none of them are. Why should the consoles be any different in this regard? 🤔
