This I’d really hard to answer, because I think it highly depends what kind of player you are.
I don’t play optimally. Yes, it’s fun to haul yourself around with the grappler at breakneck speeds and stop just in time not to get squished, but I’m not that good at it. I also don’t limit myself to the most valuable parts and move on to another ship, but collect the last metal frame. I would make more money in less time, but don’t like the idea.
Overall the game stays the same with a few mechanics that get added (explosive charges and something that screws with your salvage and has to be solved first). The system in the ships get more complicated and you need to solve several steps before you can “solve” a problem.

I play Hardspace Shipbreakerwhen I want to relax.
You are a worker in a spacedock and dismantle ships with a cutting and grappling tool and divide the components into resource bins. It has a chill soundtrack and it’s fun to float around with thrusters and figure out how to separate the different parts.

In EVE everything within 1000km is on the same “grid”. within a solar system you can only warp to known locations. That includes locations that were manually saved or celestial objects like moons and planets.
That means when someone warps to a moon, they can see anyone who warped to that moon, since they are on the same grid.
A safe spot is a location that isn’t on the same grid as a known location. You can still be scanned down by someone, but there are ways to know about it.

To anyone who finds EVE fascinating, but doesn’t actually want to play it themselves, I can highly recommend the “Empires of EVE” books by Andrew Groen. The two volumes span the time from beta to 2014 and talk about the wars and empires of Null Sec. The author interviewed loads of players. It’s a fascinating read.
- Comment on Horse archers ruin every game they are in. 2 months ago:
Thank you. You just gave me a flashback to Total War: Rome campaign I played as a kid. I didn’t play long, because it got boring fast. I had exclusive horse archer armies that wiped out whole armies without losses.
- Comment on Towns to New york 2 months ago:
I know with Hartensteins departure and Robinsons injury woes the 5 spot was an issue, but I’m not sure I like Towns for them. I’m not sure he can bring the toughness and mentality the team showed.
Randle felt like a weird foreign object after this season, bit I will miss Donte. The Villanova 4 didn’t last long.

Ugh. I kind of wish you would just go gracefully into the background Peter.
He passed gracefully 2 or 3 “games” ago. The quotation marks, because they were basically abandoned for a new gimmick, without delivering.

It’s not easy to find info like the sound of the switch/button with gaming mice.
Maybe the Razer Pro Click, Razer’e answer to the MX Master mice, could work for you.

Didn’t he petition the French President for citizenship with the promise to compete for them?
Desperate people are being denied such privilege ,despite living in the country. Kind of a dick move.
- Comment on Jeff Bezos may be the next Celtics' owner 5 months ago:
Somewhat related.
I’m from Europe and was a big NBA fan as a kid (who wasn’t in the Jordan era, am I right?). I recently got back into it.
One aspect that really surprised me about the NBA was the fact that owners were the first who received trophies (conference final and final winners). Most sports I grew up with would award the coach or team captain first. I understand the structure of the NBA can’t work without rich owners, but why do we need to reward them over the people who actually contributed on and around the court?
The thought of watching a horrible person like Bezos push a trophy into the air is upsetting to me.

- Comment on It Would Take 'Star Level Player' for LeBron to Take Pay Cut 5 months ago:
I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to salary cap and contracts and was wondering this exact thing. At what point is having a potential winning team more important than a few million for someone who is possibly a billionaire by now. Apparently Lebron couldn’t just play for a couple of million and get a superstar teammate instead. Good to know.

- Comment on NBA Player Tiers: Kevin Durant, Steph Curry hang on in Tier 1, but how much longer? 5 months ago:
Overall a good list.
Minor nitpicks like healthy Embiid should be in 1A for me and the gap between Tatum and Brown being too big. As a Knicks fan I like Brunson so high. Ibhopenhe can cement that evaluation next season.
Then there is KD. His skill is unquestionable, but if we speak of value, he isn’t 1B for me. IMO he has become a poison pill since Brooklyn.
Teams change up their whole structure and trade away the kitchen sink to get him. What do they get? A strong team on paper that doesn’t produce results.
When the going gets tough he requests a trade. The team is left with a roster built around him and few to no draft picks.

Imagine being such a bad prospect as a franchise, you have to offer a coach a six year contract and $80mio.
And then imagine such a bad season, you rather let him go and eat the rest of his contract, rather than have him continue the work.
Some real geniuses in Detroit.

- Comment on Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Discovery | 5x10 "Life, Itself" 6 months ago:
Discovery has always been a mixed bag for me.
I was fine with their changes to the Klingons, but disliked the emphasis of action.
I liked Pike and Spock (an Strange new Worlds), bit disliked the final battle with a million ships/drones.
I liked the jump into the future, but disliked the reason and resolution of the Burn.
I liked the threat of the DMA and its consequences, but the interpersonal relationships of the crew lost their appeal to me.
Season 5 was one of the weakest for me.
The Breen and the new XO two positives for me.
The crew, the Progenitor Tech and the search for it were all boring for me. Especially the established characters are more annoying than interesting to me.
Mol and L’ak ruined the season for me, more specifically Mol. A cross between a tantrum-having toddler and rebellious teenager, she added nothing to the plot. Her random connection to Book was blatantly manufactured and added nothing.
I actively had to stop myself from skipping scenes with her. I was close to just stop watching this season, since the rest wasn’t too compelling either. I really dislike when antagonist keep sticking around, because the heroes try saving them (from themselves). It’s okay to let a horrible person bleed to death, Michael.
I’m glad it’s over. It could have been better, but also worse. I think this season showed it was a good decision to end it now.
- Comment on Episode Discussion | Star Trek: Discovery | 5x07 "Erigah" 7 months ago:
Discovery had its ups and downs for me over the seasons. The Progenitor tech. Breen. Both interesting. Moll and L’ak and the forced connection to Book ruin it for me. I get annoyed every time Moll opens her mouth.
I enjoy shows that add personal connections into their story, but Discovery is excessive and misses quite a lot.
