- Comment on What are you watching and, what do you recommend this week? 1 week ago:
I started watching Avenue 5 last week because I read on tvdb that the series had ended. Not for a moment did I consider the possibility that the show was cancelled. It’s probably for the best anyway because the show was actually starting to irritate me by the second season.
- Comment on What TV show were you highly excited for, but ended up quickly disappointing you? 1 week ago:
SNW is the breath of fresh air that restored my faith in the franchise.
- Comment on What TV show were you highly excited for, but ended up quickly disappointing you? 1 week ago:
Star Trek Picard and Star Trek Discovery. There were a lot of good ideas, but the execution wasn’t there overall.

The only time I was ok with this was during the “Avengers assemble” scene in Endgame.
- Comment on What TV cancellation are you most upset by? 3 weeks ago:
The recent ones that come to mind are 1899, Scavenger’s Reign, and Infinity Train. All with good premises and cancelled prematurely.

I see how it works now, thanks. What an odd function to leave out of the official app.

I don’t think there is an article to read; the video has all the information.

I’m trying to follow the Privacy Guides channel on the PeerTube app, but can’t seem to find it. How am I supposed to use this platform?

You’re probably right that the math didn’t add up for them.
Might be worth getting a pad replacement for the original cup and slapping that on yourself.

The jingle is a nice add-on, though a white-coloured print may have been clearer.
- Comment on New poster for "A Minecraft Movie" 1 month ago:
Other than the title and creatures the poster doesn’t really scream Minecraft.

As a word of warning the subtitles on Ne Zha 2 were pretty quick at times, but just slow enough to get a side peek at the visuals.
- Comment on What movies have you watched this week? 1 month ago:
I went to see Ne Zha 2.
Honestly such a stunning movie.

I took my eldest to see Dog Man in theatres. All I can say is — it’s certainly a movie. I was bored out of my mind, but my kid was laughing his pants off.

The little flashes and loud music were kind of reminiscent of when you’re really deep into a topic or idea that just consumes all your senses. As for the time skips, since I wasn’t familiar with the history I was right the way confused until maybe the second hour.
Admittedly I could only get through the whole thing in three sittings, so some of the momentum of the film might have been lost on me :(
- Comment on Is there any movie you are looking forward to? 2 months ago:
Mickey 17 for me and Dog Man for the kids.

I found that Siri is a little more useful for answering questions with ChatGPT, but outside of that I don’t think I’ve come across another situation where I’ve needed Apple Intelligence.

- Comment on Why a Helium Leak Disabled Every iPhone in a Medical Facility 6 months ago:
[…] so why were only Apple phones affected?
The answer, it seems, is because Apple recently defected from traditional quartz-based clocks in its phones in favor of clocks that are also made of MEMS silicon. Given that clocks are the most critical device in any computer and are necessary to make the CPU function, their disruption with helium atoms is enough to crash the device.
In this case, the leaking helium from the MRI machine infiltrated the iPhones like a “tiny grain of sand” and caused the MEMS clocks to go haywire.
