This has been my biggest struggle to wrap my head around with regard to Libertarianism. I'm all about minimizing the state, eliminating as many victimless laws as possible, and generally letting people live their lives. The problem is that's inherently idealistic and unrealistic. Our current quasi-police state didn't develop in a vacuum, it gradually developed in response to shitty people.

So what is the "proper" Libertarian response to shitty people? The kind of people who ignore the NAP, and intentionally do harm to others, even in non-violent ways? How do we minimize the problems inherently caused by those kind of people without letting the State run amok?
