Jimmy Johnson, to me, was the best. Started his first season at 1-15 a few years later won multiple Super Bowls. Pete Carroll was very successful. Jim Harbaugh did well. Barry Switzer was handed a great team so I wouldn’t include him. John Robinson did OK with the Rams. John McKay was marginal at best. I do wonder if Nick Saban had another year or two what would have happened? Was Urban Meyer really that bad? Or was it just the “instant winner” thing by the owners? As I stated, Jimmy Johnson was 1-15 in his first year with the Cowboys. Did Urban need more time, or was it as bad as they say? Steve Spurrier wasn’t that good at the pro level.
