The biggest sports league in the United States still does not have a (reasonable) standard for picture quality.

The NFC championship game between the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers will be available via various apps in 4K. The AFC championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs will not.

Why hasn’t the NFL forced the hand of their broadcasters to give consumers a way to enjoy their product at higher quality? I know the answer is always money but couldn’t money be made by upgrading the quality of the picture?
