I don't agree. Saddam sought WMDs and long-range missiles like the Scuds for years and make it clear that he was willing to hit Israel or Europe with them. Either would have kicked off a bigger war. The problem with the Iraq war was the second part, the occupation.

It was more than 200,000. 200k directly, then all the poisoning of water from all the heavy metals in the ammo the US spread throughout the country. Cancer rates and birth abnormalities had skyrocketed after the invasion
Not to factor in all the deaths due to ISIS, which was created directly as a result of US Debaathification - old Iraqi army getting fired and joining the caliphate.
