Thinking through possible DC options for Michigan, assuming Jesse Minter leaves, I considered Jim Leonhard.

I lost track of him so looked him up and see that he was an analyst at Illinois last year. I find that a bizarre landing spot, given he was coaching at such a high level at Wisconsin.

So what’s up with him? Why hasn’t he moved into a good gig? Is there some history that has deterred suitors?
