I apologize. I don’t have an NFL source and I’m not trying to make this all about me or anything like that. But whenever the Bills lose in the playoffs I find my depression and my anxiety get so much worse, as well as other harmful urges. I’m just looking to hear if other NFL fans here have had to take a breather or a break from sports because it is causing them too much mental strife. Hoping I can relate to someone and learn something new.

EDIT 1: I also want to add I’m in therapy and plan on opening up about this to my counselor. I want to get better.

EDIT 2: Man I’m so overwhelmed by these responses. Thank you so much. I don’t even have time to respond to everyone. I’m gonna try tho lol. But seriously, thank you. I’m going to try to get to the root of my issues and work to improve my relationship with sports. But more importantly, I want to salvage my mental health. I’m clearly suffering and have work to do within myself. So thank you again my fellow football fans.

As for the people making immature comments, thank you for your input. You’re showing me how I don’t want to react. This is a powerful discussion and I’m sorry you’re missing out.
