A fun side narrative to watch in the Ravens game. I’m sure he’ll be laser-focused on the win, but breaking any record of Rice’s is pretty absurd. Imagine he’ll get it next year if not this year, but as we know nothing is promised in this league. His 2 TDs yesterday also have him just 4 behind Rice. For yards he’s ~550 behind, so unless he truly has Gonzalez-like longevity it seems unlikely. Especially since he’s already won it all twice and with his newfound celebrity status I’m not expecting him to play till 38 like TG. Enjoy it while you can.

Some other bonkers low-hanging Kelce postseason facts:

-with 18 TDs in 20 games, he averages 0.9 TDs a game. Rice went for 22 TDs in 29 games for 0.76 per game, and Gronk had 15 in 22 for 0.68. Fitz had 11 TDs in 10 games for 1.1, nobody else with 8+ career playoff TD catches tops Kelce in TDs/game

-Kelce is 10th in playoff receiving yards per game (with the admittedly arbitrary cap of 4+ games played), behind only all time greats, DK Metcalf, and a few old school players I’ve never heard of.
