Is this a great time to remind certain countries that “New public management” is not actually about decentralising power, but to make public prohibitively expensive, so the privatised hospitals can more easily exploit their audience as public hospitals become untenable - largely thanks to “New public management”.
Example: the NHS, which is hanging on by a thread.
