If socialists and leftists always complain about "wage theft" by their employers, why don't they "seize the means of production" and become self-employed? Too much risk, perhaps?

Sometimes I go into leftist subs to see what they're whining about and they're always complaining about "surplus labor and value" being stolen. Don't they realize they do not have to work for someone else?
