Georgia fan here, I can think of 2:
What if we’d beaten Alabama in the 2012 SEC Championship game? The game came down to the final play, and Bama lead Notre Dame by 30 at halftime, it’s pretty much a forgone conclusion that UGA would have won the championship if they’d beaten Alabama. Mark Richt gets his championship, he isn’t fired 3 years later, Georgia never hires Kirby Smart, and maybe Georgia isn’t nearly as dominant as they are now.
What if Herschel Walker had gone to Clemson? He was down to the 2 schools and chose UGA. Clemson already won a title in 1981, WHILE Walker was at Georgia; how good would Clemson have been, how many championships, how many records, would Herschel have still won the Heisman? And would Georgia have even HAD a chance for a championship in 80 and 82?
What say you?
