So some people have discussed the idea of collecting rain water as a water supply - this can be a challenge as you need to connect it to a roof and downspout or something
Not so with collecting snow, if there's heavy snowfall you can just grab a bunch together and bring it inside and let it melt, then purify it if you want (might increase energy / heating costs though)
Of course it depends on where you live, for this to work
Haven't seen this idea posted online, anyone have thoughts on it?
