This is the first time an Adidas school has made the CFP and 4th overall non-Nike team to make the playoffs. Previous non-Nike schools to make the CFP are the 2018 and 2020 Notre Dame teams and 2021 Cincinnati team, all 3 previous teams were with Under Armour. The last time Washington was in the CFP they were with Nike. Cincinnati has now changed to a Nike school.
