Regardless of whether you use PFF Offense Grade (34.2) or PFF pass grade (30.5), Mahomes finished as the lowest graded QB of week 16. Mahomes narrowly beat Nick Mullens (41.4) and Trevor Semien (36.7) to finish 38/38 amongst all QBs that took a snap.

Note that PFF grades generally attempt to account for errors by receivers. Mahomes was charted with 5 turnover worthy plays and 0 big time throws. This was Mahomes’ first career game with 5 turnover worthy plays.

Because of his week 16 performance, Mahomes fell from 4th to T-9th on the season amongst all QBs by PFF Offense grade (using a 50% dropbacks qualifier). Mahomes was surpassed by Tua Tagovailoa, Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts for overall PFF offensive grade between weeks 15 and 16.
