Thought this was something interesting and not yet mentioned. Prior to the 2023 season, Tomlin had a slight lead over Harbaugh in regular season record

  • Pre-2023 Tomlin: 163 W / 93 L / 2 T (0.637)
  • Pre-2023 Harbaugh: 147 W / 95 L (0.607)

At this current point in the season, the gap has now been cut significantly.

  • Current Tomlin: 170 W / 100 L / 2 T (.629)
  • Current Harbaugh: 158 W / 98 L (.617)

Based on current win projections, Harbaugh is expected to near match the regular season record of Mike Tomlin (Tomlin at .622 vs Harbaugh at .623). Tomlin has not fallen in regular season record to Harbaugh since the 2013 season.

While Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in his 16 year tenure as coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, it should be said John Harbaugh himself has only had a single losing season in that span- and after 2023 both coaches will potentially be tied in this respect based on current win projections.

Notably, John Harbaugh currently has a winning post season record at 11-9 (versus Tomlin at 8-9), with each coach tied at one Super Bowl win.
