Genuine question. I know there are plenty of D2 teams both NC and Cortland could have beaten. But top of the line D2 compared to top of the line D3?

Would you think it is comparable to a CFP team to South Dakota State (recognizing that SDSU is likely significantly better then some FBS programs)?

Additionally, What is the perhaps the thing separating these levels of programs: offensive and defensive line depth? Athleticism of skilled position players?
